I love all Lawrence Sanders' detective thrillers and this is one of his best. I bought this and read most of it before realizing that I had read it previously a couple of years ago. This fact should tell you that the story is so well written that I became wrapped-up in the plot and details to the point that it all seemed new until certain twists and turns made me realize that this was all too familiar. Rather than my senility it speaks to what a great story-teller the author was; it is too bad that he isn't still around to continue providing complex detective stories. The seller shipped quickly and the product was in excellent condition.
Great story and great characters. Always good writing. I enjoy the mystery but also has humor involved. I also had great service from the company I purchased from.
I enjoyed as always Lawrence Sanders noivels. Being a former NYPD officer it is easy to be placed at the various crime scenes to see what I would have done, Lawrence Sanders puts me there if it's Archie McNally or Francis X. Thank You

I liked this Commandment a bit more than the others.
It's a good who done it.
Basically the same characters as in the Eighth Commandment.
It was so galling that I couldn't get beyond the first five chapters.
Otherwise, I'm a big fan of Lawrence Sanders.
As an old woman, I loved Dora, the slightly dumpy investigator. She and the other characters were believable and the details of the investigation were riveting. The romantic tension between her and a cop made the story more riveting.i was glad to have started this book on s rainy day or I would have ended up reading it all night.
I have read all the Archy MacNally series, and am now well on the way with the Commandment series, Sanders is a very erudite author whose command of English is a master class. I find I have to use the Fire 'look up' many times to define some of the words or facts he throws in. Love his books, style, characters and their development, and when I get to the end of the whole gamut of his writing it will be a sad day!
